Recording of seabird colonies

The goal of this project is to collect data on seabird colonies, their locations, breeding species and the number of breeding birds at a given colony. Data on individual bird populations is also being collected as part of this study. The following 23 species are found or were historically found at seabird colonies in Iceland: northern fulmar, storm petrel, Leach's petrel, Manx sheerwater, gannet, cormorant, shag, eider, great skua, common gull, black-headed gull, great black-backed gull, lesser black-backed gull, herring gull, glaucous gull, kittiwake, arctic tern, puffin, great auk, black guillemot, guillemot, Brünnich's guillemot and razorbill.
